Inside every big company there are many workers, they are busy working but upon close inspection you might find some of these workers are not really working but just pretending to be at work, they spent most of their time staring at the monitor, like the backdrop of a movie set. The so call work is repeatedly acting out this performance everyday, hiding quietly in the corner of the office, hoping for real work not to fall on them.
Stars of the Ever Expanding Universe 不斷膨脹宇宙裏的星星 Motor, bicycle, laser cut acrylic sheets, rubber track, & metal wire, Lane Crawford Admiralty, Hong Kong, 2005
In school we learned the Earth is revolving around the Sun, but looking from the Earth's perspective it certainly feels like the Sun is revolving around the Earth. According to the statistic each of us on average would own over 10,000 things. Each day the things we own, people we know and event we engaged in revolve around us like the trillions of stars in the sky, nothing else in the whole world is more important than that. That is to say we are the center of the universe and the Sun sure feel like just another planet revolving around us. I use different colorful acrylics and cut out the shapes from the things I own or the people that are important to me. This sculpture was powered by a bicycle and it produces great shadows on the wall when spinning. _______________________________________________________________________________________________

There are many different types of gods and religions in this world, many gods proclaim that they are the one and only god and they the real god. These gods could be anywhere and knows everything, the all mighty god have unlimited mercy to give and also fantastic punishment for all of us, they demands our respect and fear. I wonder if gods have their own religion or they just believe in themselves. Who is watching over them?

One came to this world alone as if there is a need to find the other missing half. After countless failures I finally found you, you are my dream. Within this dream we hold hands and took a walk on a beach in Hawaii, heading towards the golden sunset and the breeze of coconut trees. You are my dream, you are me.

I used to work for a very famous company. The first day I went to work they showed me to my chair and my desk and told me when to eat lunch. My boss sits at the edge of the office, in between the window and the glass wall; he works very hard everyday but rarely does he come out.

There are many wonderful things hanging in the black sky. Stars are actually planets very far away. The moon is the closest star to us and that is why it is the biggest and brightest. I can see the moon; can others see it? Who are they?

The home of the young is an unexplored castle, mysterious and exciting. The home of the aged is a prison with its gate locked, waiting for death. If I ever run into the future me, what would he say? Would I be able to recognize him?

There are many horrible things happening in my city. Wild beasts originally belonging in the jungle now suddenly appear in the dark corners of the city, hunting for prey. Humans and beasts cannot live in harmony, an encounter is imminent. The fortunate one will become the witness; the unfortunate one will be the victim.

When I was at school I used to live amongst comic books and the secret of the universe; defending the Earth and saving mankind seemed so right. Now I am grown up I realize that monsters from reality are much more horrible. Without terrifying appearance, monsters grew up to look like you and me.

My father used to go to work everyday. Each day he took the elevator from our home then gradually descended down to the street, after a short while he took another elevator and ascended up to his other home, he did this everyday. My father and mother have recently just divorced, now I live with my mother; I do not know where my father is living now and I do not miss him.
When I was a child I have heard it said that people should search for their selves, search for the real self. I was thinking at that time, the present me is not the real me. The real me seems to be living somewhere else, escaping from my search. At that time I was determined to catch this fugitive-like self of mine, yet until today I still have not find him.

When I am looking at you I sometimes take a peek at your eyes, I am curious wanting to know what is the real you? Your dark brown eyeballs look very much like the universe, on the surface of it I can see my own reflection.
